This service is available at all of our branches to help patients take their medicine effectively. It is suitable for patients who are on complex medicine regimes, forget to take their medicines regularly or have difficulty removing tablets from their packaging. In order to qualify for this service, patients are normally referred by the GP surgery, carer a community nurse or health visitor .
The medications are prepared using the weekly trays which consists of slots for 7 days with four compartments for the different times of the day. The tablets will be placed into the slots according to what time they are best taken. The seal can be removed individually each time and it is easy to do so. They are clearly labelled so it is easy to comprehend.
As well as preparing the medicine for the patients, we can also order them automatically so that all that a patient would need to do is collect their medications at their convenience. For those patients having difficulty getting to the pharmacy or housebound, the medicines can be delivered either weekly or monthly.
